Maire raunui (Topical Term)

Whakamārama: He rākau nui nō te wao. Ko ngā rau he rarahi, he kōroaroa, he kāwitiwiti. Ko te tino wahie hei tahu ahi. He matahua te hanga o ngā hua, he kura kita, he kōwhai kita.

Scope Note: A large canopy tree with large spearshaped leaves. The timber was a favourite type of firewood, heavy and hard. The egg shaped fruits are bright red or yellow. Nestegis cunninghamii.
