A traditional regency romance from a best-selling author - Content with her humdrum life, Miss Dorothea Darent has no intention of marrying. She knows that her unfashionable curves and outspoken ways make her a disastrous match for any gentleman of the ton. The scandalous Marquis of Hazelmere is equally intent on remaining single - but when he encounters Dorothea, he's entranced. He doesn't expect Dorothea's unconventional charm to take society by storm . . . but when the lady is surrounded by suitors, the confirmed rake must fight for his beautiful prize! This is a first time regular print hardcover previously available in a mass market edition.

Library Journal Review

An independent, country-bred lady takes her younger sister to London for the Season and becomes sought after herself, much to the surprise-and consternation-of the notorious noble rake she'd encountered in the country. Originally published in 1992 as a Harlequin Historical, this is one of Laurens's delightfully compelling early Regency-era romances. While not billed as a traditional Regency, it would be a welcome addition to many of those collections. (c) Copyright 2011. Library Journals LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Media Source, Inc.
